A+ Schools of North Carolina: A+ Schools of North Carolina is a whole-school reform model that views the arts as fundamental to teaching and learning in all subjects. Los Angeles County Arts Ed Collective: The LA County Arts Ed Collective is a collaborative effort of teachers, policymakers, and funders to provide arts education to all students in LA public schools.

Arts Education Partnership: AEP provides partner organizations access to research and information, and create opportunities for communication and collaboration between arts disciplines and across sectors to improve arts education practice and make high-quality arts education accessible to all U.S. students.
The Phillips Collection K-12 Education: The Phillips Collection offers a variety of arts education opportunities, such as museum visits for students, in-classroom workshops, and professional development seminars.
Art Education Research Institute: The Art Education Research Institute (AERI) supports critical, systematic, empirical, and theoretical research and scholarship, which addresses key intellectual and practical issues in the field of art education. AERI seeks to promote a broad range of rigorous research practices and methodologies drawn from the arts, humanities, and social sciences to improve inquiry related to teaching and learning in and through the visual arts.

Millennium Stage at the Kennedy Center: The Millennium Stage is a free performance series and part of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. It features a broad spectrum of national and international performing arts companies, from dance and jazz, to chamber music and folk, comedy, storytelling and theater, every day of the year. Performances always begin at 6pm.
Reston Community Center: The goal of the Reston Community Center is to provide a broad range of programs in arts, aquatics, recreation, enrichment and life-long learning. The center offers theater performances, art classes, activities, exhibitions, and galleries.
Imagination Stage: Imagination Stage empowers all young people to discover their voice and identity through performing arts education and professional theatre.
City of Fairfax Arts Events: The City of Fairfax offers numerous different events to stimulate community engagement in the arts such as Friday Morning Music Club, the Irish Folk Festival, and Fairfax Spotlight on the Arts.
Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts: Through a partnership and collaboration of the National Park Service and the non-profit Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, the Park offers both natural and cultural resources including concerts, music education programs, and the Wolf Trap Opera.
Wolf Trap Children’s Theatre in the Woods: The Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts has announced a children’s theater series beginning June 18th, 2019 and ending August 3rd. Shows vary from puppetry to dance and music. Performances begin at 10:30am, Tuesday to Saturday.
The US Army Band: The United States Army Band is the premier musical organization of the United States Army, founded in 1922. In addition to providing support to the armed forces and military events around the world, they also offer free concerts to the public in the DC area.
Arlington Arts in Arlington, VA: Their mission is to create, support, and promote the arts, connecting artists and community to reflect the diversity of Arlington. They do this for the public by: presenting high quality performing, literary, visual and new media programs across the County. The website lists numerous arts opportunities for individual involvement.
WSC Avant Bard: WSC Avant Bard is a performing arts organization dedicated primarily to producing classic works in small theaters throughout Northern Virginia which is funded by NEA and Virginia Commission for the Arts.
Arlington Arts Center: Arlington Arts Center is a contemporary visual arts center dedicated to presenting and supporting new work by regional artists in the Mid-Atlantic states. Through exhibitions, educational programs, and subsidized studio spaces, AAC serves as a bridge between artists and the public.
ARTSFairfax: This organization supports the community by sponsoring arts events such as Theatre, Music, Dance, Museums, Galleries, Arts Education, Professional Development, Master Classes, and Camps in the Fairfax area.
Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia: The mission of the JCCNV Cultural Arts department is to demonstrate, illuminate and celebrate the breadth and depth of Judaism’s culture, identity, creativity, diversity and resiliency through the performing, visual and literary arts. They have numerous events to engage the community, such as film festivals, performing arts series, Jewish food festivals, and fine arts programming.
Vienna Arts Society: An excellent resource for those who live in Northern Virginia, the VAS offers community arts events such as photography, watercolors, mosaics, and numerous arts exhibits.
Art Works Now: Art Works Now provides arts education and family arts programs for Hyattsville, MD and surrounding communities. They are focused on teaching arts technique as well as providing after school opportunities for children to engage in the arts.
